Do your cribs have scales?
The following high-end cribs come with a built-in scale as a standard feature: Critical Care Crib, Critical Care II Crib, and iCrib. All other electric hospital cribs can be upgraded to include a built-in scale.
How long will it take to get the crib?
We produce our products on a made-to-order basis, providing each customer with a customized solution that best meets their needs. The delivery time will depend on the size and complexity of the order. Typically, our hospital orders ship within the USA in 3–5 weeks.
What buying groups do you work with?
We work with most of the major Group Purchasing Organizations, including Premier Purchasing Partners, Vizient, Intalere and HealthTrust. We are happy to work with our customers to facilitate their orders in the event they do not work with any of these GPOs.
WHAT IS YOUR HOSPITAL PRODUCT WARRANTY?
Five-year warranty: we will replace, at no cost to the purchaser, any non-expendable component—such as the head-end and foot-end assemblies, side assemblies, mattress platform or any electrical component found to have a defect in materials or workmanship—within five (5) years from the date of purchase at our discretion.
One-year warranty: we will replace, at no cost to the purchaser, any expendable component—including, but not limited to, mattresses, trigger assemblies, slide rods or slide rod components, crank handles, Johns Hopkins handles, vinyl curtains, curtain rods, or IV pole components found to have a defect in materials or workmanship—within one (1) year from the date of purchase at our discretion.
Do I get a discount if I buy more than one crib?
We offer volume discounts through our buying group relationships. The discount threshold for number of units purchased varies by GPO. Please ask your HARD salesperson for more details, by calling us at 1-800-873-4273.
Do you sell directly to hospitals outside of the United States?
Yes, we have a network of distributors in countries outside of the United States. Please contact our international sales director for more information about your specific country at sayadi@hardmfg.com
What are your recommendations for cleaning and disinfecting?
Our recommendations for cleaning and disinfecting our cribs and beds are provided below. In addition, you can access our cleaning instructions at: Cleaning Instructions. We recommends that cribs and beds be washed by hand with a non-abrasive cleaner of your facility’s choice and then thoroughly dried with a soft cloth or towel. Our equipment should never be placed in a machine for cleaning or subject to steam guns or pressure washers of any kind. Do not allow the crib or bed to air dry, as pools of water left on the mattress pan surface or near bolt holes may eventually lead to premature corrosion. We suggest the use of a cleaner such as one that contains Quaternary Ammonium Chloride (Quats). Quats will both clean the crib or bed as well as disinfect it without oxidizing our epoxy. Note: Any type of cleaner containing ammonia, alcohol, bleach, or any other chemical that is abrasive should never be used on our cribs or beds for any reason.
